There is zero installation required. We love it for its simplicity and clever design. It follows similar principles to other flat-file CMS platforms, but has a different design philosophy than most. Why did we decide on Grav CMS as our main development platform? Because it is very easy to use and maintain, while being incredibly fast. The admin interface of Grav is well made and optimized for mobile devices. Creating or editing pages is comfortable as most content is written in Markdown language. We are using Grav on a daily basis ourselves and can honestly recommend it as the most user friendly content management system that we have come along.

It has so many benefits that its hard to list them: Markdown content creation, security, stability. The list is endless compared to very complex solutions like Typo3 or Wordpress. But for us the most important point is: It's fun to use. Usually there is an epic battle between the end user and the CMS. Things break, updates go wrong, and so forth. With Grav it's different.
